This is a nice golf course situated in my home town of Rawmarsh. It originally started life as a nine hole golf course for the local steelworks workers to play on but over the years has developed into a full 18 hole course. The course is fairly flat so is not as hard to play as the hilly ones in this area.
This golf course is unusual in the way that you pay to play golf here. You have to put your money in a box called a loyalty box. There is no one to take your money here before you play. Checks are made on the course to make sure you have payed to play by the grounds staff.
Expect to pay approx £15 a round in the week and £20 a round at the weekend.
Weekends are extremly busy with the local members playing their competitions so its best to play in the week or in the afternoons at weekends.
There is a bar and eating area but no driving range. If you fancy a game of crown green bowling after or before your golf then your in luck as there is a bowling green here near the entrance of the course.
The score card below shows you the par for the course.
